We did a little mini vacation this weekend and went to the valley to do some back to school shopping

while we were there we went to a diamond backs game..

we played (and lost to) the Giants

we had seats on the visitors side as you can see from this picture of the Giants players

But we had FANTASTIC seats....

as you can see from Sawyer sporting his monkey hat and the dbacks shirt he got when they were throwing them out to the crowd

Austin had the time of his life! He sure loves the dbacks...win or lose!

backyard campfires....

One great advantage to living in the mountains is back yard campfires...

my family hates my attitude that I live in the mountains so why go camping!

just pitch a tent in the back yard (as you can see the kids did that this summer as well)

Brittnee and Brynlee came up to visit for a few days

we celebrated Brittnee's 24th birthday while she was here

and had smores over the campfire that night as well

Its fun to roast marshmellows over the campfire in your jammies...

Quade loves the smores....

every last bit of them......

Brynlee did too!!!!

Last game....

Today was our last all star game....

we ended up going undefeated in the area

but taking third in district

we had a really good game today against continental out of Flagstaff

final score was 20-13

it was a looooong game as we had a rain delay half way through

Noah had a good game....he played 2nd and 1st

we had one inning right after they put him at 1st where we had 3 outs in a row all thrown to first for the out. thank goodness he made three great catches to get us out of the inning

It was a great season boys and you did a great job!!!

All Stars update....

First game of Region play tonight against Flagstaffs Coconino

Noah Played all game....

started off playing 3rd

then played 1st

then moved to the outfield to center

then to left field

he had some mistakes but overall he did pretty good

he got a great hit but got out at second but not before getting two RBIs

not so great the second time up

we ended up losing 19-9

we are now in the looser bracket and play again tomorrow.

if we win we play again on monday for the championship of the region

if we loose we are out

can you keep a secret? we would not be too terribly upset if we loose

because.....

the state round is in YUMA!

The big news of the day.....

Someone passed their test and got their permit today.........

where does the time go....

she was just a baby like....the other day!

4th of July.....

The 4th of July is my favorite Holiday....

I love having all my kids home...

not to mention the warmth and sunshine!!!

this year Brittnee, James and Brynlee were not able to make it

it just was not the same

but we had fun anyways....

we ALWAYS go to the parade

This year we left Taylor and Natalie to save our place

if you ever go to the Show Low Parade you will know why

its important to get their early and have someone save your place

they were suppose to set us up in the wet zone but

i think they chickened out because they got us about

50 feet from the wet zone but not IN it.....

we had a good time teasing them about that.

Joe came to visit!

Our German Joe came to visit not long ago....

he was here for about three weeks.....

it was fun having him....

Hayden and he and some friends went to the valley before he went home to catch a Dbacks game

and do some river tubing....

 this put us in as the undefeated winners in the area.....

I dont really understand the bracketing but now we move on and play teams from places like flagstaff.

so if im understanding correctly we won our area and are now in the district????

sorry, I usually totally understand tournament bracketing but this one is really weird!

Noah played third...did not have the greatest game but im sure he will do better next time

we play again tonight so stay tooned for the update....

A story I fogot to share.....

Several months ago Hayden bought a motorcycle.....

Quade loves the motorcycle....

Every day after school he would come home and get Hayden's Helmet

and wait for Hayden to come home....

Because he wanted a ride....

some days he would sit in this chair with the Helmet for over an hour...

just waiting....

   and waiting...

         and waiting...

and if he was really lucky......

when Hayden would get home.....

he would give him a ride around the block.....

and that is all it would take.....

to make Quade's day......

Took the kids to the Show Low Rodeo tonight.....

and we had a ton of fun......
