LET THE GAMES BEGIN....

Football season is finally upon us! We are beyond excited! Hayden, being a senior starter makes it that much more exciting. He will be playing offensive guard and defensive end. We (Rich) will be doing all of our post game reviews on the blog rather then emailing everyone...so check in on saturdays to get the updates.

**Due to circumstances beyond our control the fnf website has not been updated. (namely...because I'm not in charge of it anymore).....although you can still listen to live streaming audio of the BR vs Safford game tonight at the FNF site.
http://www.fnfshow.com/html/listen_live_.html
just click on the Listen live now button at or after 5pm
(i know the site says 4pm but this time around its 5pm)
The First and 10 show starts at 5 and the game coverage starts at 6:45pm
then the scores and highlights show will follow the game so you can stay tuned and listen to how everyone else fared.

Softball game 1

Taylor had her first 8th grade softball game yesterday. They played Payson at home. Taylor started in left field and played for 3 innings. Nothing was hit to her. She got up to bat twice and walked twice and scored twice. unfortunately we lost 16-4

The great flood of 2008

Yep! And it happened right in our own backyard! We got about 3 inches of rain in about 30 minutes. The entire town of Lakeside's water ran right through our yard!...or at least it seemed that way. We were up to our knees in water at one point. Looking at the marks on the fence this morning it looks like it was up round 12 inches. Our neighbors house (that sits at ground level) was flooded in the garage, laundry room and two bedrooms. Luckily we are up on cinder blocks. It ran like a river! it was CRAZY!! We had to open up all the gates and get all the pine needles out of the way and let it flow! And the Brimhalls fence split wide open!!!! (you can see more pictures on their blog)
This is our front drive way...
this is our neighbors yard...
this is me walking through the water opening up gates

Pictures, pictures, pictures....

We went and had professional family pictures taken yesterday...they turned out GREAT! they will be ready in a few weeks and then i will post one...maybe....i might leave it for a surprise for Christmas (cards)
But while we were doing that i decided it was time to update the kids pictures too. The ones i have on the wall right now are about 3 or 4 years old. And although some of the kids have not changed much..some of the others have changed drastically. So being the cheap skate that i am i just took them out and took the pictures myself as i always do. I took over 400 pictures and i could not narrow it down to just a few. SO i posted a bunch LOL...hope you love them as much as i do!

*Disclaimer....i am not, nor have i ever professed to be a professional photographer. I do not have fancy equipment (although i would love to, and i do thank Wendy for letting me barrow her WAY better then mine, camera) and i don't have any awesome programs for the computer to make the most of the pictures...I take pictures of my kids myself, strickly because we each have our own style of what we like...this is what i like. Could they be better? for sure! with some lighting equipment and some photo programs im sure they could be better. But this is my style and what i have to work with and i love them..... so please don't judge my abilities.

dont forget you can click on the pictures and get a full screen view if you want to
